2018-19 Grant Funding Update

Each year, through the generous financial contributions to the Annual Fund, Friends of Whitney Young provides funding to a variety of clubs, sports, organizations and classrooms for needs that are not covered by CPS. For the 2018-2019 school year 28 funding requests were met. We were able to provide funding to the 7th grade Environmental Science,  literacy software support for English Language Learners, funding for the Anti-Bias workshop and a lighting console for the Whitney Young Auditorium to name a few.

Additionally, we fund other important programs around the school such as the Freshman Connection, Teacher Appreciation Day and Coffee with Kenner.

Below is the complete list of school clubs, organizations, teams and classroom projects that were funded through this year’s grant funding process.
